Brent Venables Updates Injury Status for Key Wide Receivers Ahead of Temple

Martavious Collins Day-to-Day, Mario Williams Expected to Return

Venables Addresses Media on Both Injuries

Brent Venables, head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, provided updates on the injury status of two key wide receivers ahead of Saturday's game against Temple.

Martavious Collins, who suffered a foot injury in last week's win over Kent State, is considered day-to-day.

"Martavious has a foot injury," Venables said. "He's day-to-day, so we'll see how he progresses throughout the week."

Mario Williams, who missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, is expected to return against Temple.

"Mario has been progressing well," Venables said. "We expect him to be back this week."

The return of Williams would be a significant boost to the Sooners' offense, as he is one of their top playmakers.

Collins and Williams are both key members of the Sooners' receiving corps, and their injuries could have a significant impact on the team's performance.

The Sooners will face a Temple team that is coming off a 30-0 win over Lafayette.

The game will be played at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
